“WithSecure Collaboration Protection is transitioning Exchange protection from EWS to Microsoft Graph API”
Collaboration Protection: Transitioning Exchange Protection to Microsoft Graph API - WithSecure Community, read 2026-10-25.
What to do. WithSecure Collaboration Protection is moving Exchange Online protection from EWS to Microsoft Graph, phasing out EWS from 1 September 2026. Email scanning continues; calendar events, contacts, tasks, notes and sticky notes are no longer scanned. Customers who must grant the new Graph permissions see a banner in the Collaboration Protection Portal with steps.
