Spark Email and the EWS retirement

Microsoft Graph migration status from Spark Email's own notices. Last checked 2026-10-22.

Spark Email

Status
Moved to Microsoft Graph
“Spark updated the way it connects to Microsoft accounts - from the legacy Exchange Web Services (EWS) protocol to Microsoft Graph”

Microsoft Account Sign-In Required After Spark Update, read 2026-10-22.

What to do. Spark now connects Outlook, Hotmail and Microsoft 365 accounts through Graph. An account whose user skips the new sign-in falls back to the Legacy connection (EWS), which stops working when EWS is retired. Some work accounts need admin approval.
