“Salesforce Inbox, Lightning Sync, and Einstein Activity Capture must migrate to Microsoft Graph to accomodate Microsoft EWS retirement.”

Microsoft Exchange Web Services (EWS) Retirement Salesforce Inbox, Lightning Sync and Einstein Activity Capture (Salesforce Help, article 002630842) (2026-10-01), read 2026-10-21.

What to do. All three must move to Microsoft Graph. Follow the banner at login or the product's settings page in Setup. While a move has problems, keep EWS on for the tenant with the Salesforce app on EwsAllowedAppIDs (possible until April 1, 2027).

Application IDs

This site lists no fixed application ID for Salesforce. Look up an ID from your EWS usage report on the home page, or find the name behind it in Entra, under Enterprise applications.

Every app in your tenant

The tenant plan reads your EWS usage report in your browser and matches each app against these statuses and your current allow list. All vendor statuses.
