“Since EWS deprecation by Microsoft in September 2026, focus is on Graph backend completion for current releases.”
DavMail POP/IMAP/SMTP/Caldav/Carddav/LDAP Exchange Gateway - RoadMap (2026-10-17), read 2026-10-25.
What to do. DavMail has a Graph backend in current releases (Graph mode since 6.8.0) and the roadmap puts its completion first; the next release, 7.1.1, fixes bugs on it. EWS stays available for on-premises Exchange and for Office 365 tenants where EWSEnabled is forced to true. A user on the EWS mode switches to Graph mode in the settings.
