“Commvault supports Microsoft Graph for eligible Exchange Online workloads, but the transition requirements vary by Commvault deployment, release, workload, and tenant configuration.”
Move Your Exchange Online Protection from EWS to Microsoft Graph (Commvault documentation), read 2026-10-21.
What to do. Commvault Cloud (SaaS) and Commvault Software 11.44 protect primary, archive and shared mailboxes over Graph; group mailboxes are early access, and public folders are not supported because Graph has no public folder API. Self-hosted customers who protect group mailboxes should extend EWS access, then upgrade to 11.44.30 and finish the move to Graph.
