“For anything in that list, AvePoint still has to use EWS behind the scenes; there is no Graph alternative yet.”

Microsoft EWS Retirement: What AvePoint Customers Must Do Before October 1, 2026 (AvePoint blog) (2026-09-03), read 2026-10-21.

What to do. AvePoint moved to Graph but still uses EWS for archive, Microsoft 365 Group and public folder mailboxes, and in GCC High, DoD and 21Vianet. Set EwsEnabled to True, add the AvePoint app IDs to EwsAllowedAppIDs, and re-authorize each hosted app in AOS.
